Many who consider coaching, feel that group coaching isn’t for them, which is absolutely fine.
For others, it allows the chance of others to sometimes “hold a mirror” to that person and remind them of all their talents and skills and life lessons they have, when that person either cannot or has forgotten it themselves.
Consider, for instance one person who battled with mental health challenges for over a decade.
In one ReFresh Coaching Group Coaching session, they experienced a profound revelation about her self-confidence. As a former captain of their football team, they were once a beacon of confidence and leadership.
During group coaching, they connected with this past version of themselves.
The group helped them recognize that preparing for a football match was akin to facing life's challenges. This analogy illuminated a path to overcoming their current hurdles.
They realized they already possessed the tools needed to tackle both present and future challenges.
Such breakthrough stories are common in group coaching. The shared experiences and mutual encouragement nurture personal insights and growth.
Participants leave with not just solutions but lifelong bonds.
The power of group coaching lies in the safe environment it creates.
There is a great line that says “ when you teach (or coach) ,there are 2 students”
We can learn more from others and help us share our experiences or what we see in others , to help others.
My favourite line is “ when the student is ready the master appears “
Meaning that sometimes we get the best insights, thinking, ideas, when we help others, be it the client or the coach or the group.
So how about you, are you the student or the master or both?
